About us

Yoga Studio with Korean Founder

Soul Yoga School, Bali

Founded in 2021, Soul Yoga School started during the COVID-19 outbreak. The studio first started in a living room, but has now expanded to a permanent studio with 12−15 students attending yoga teacher training 4−5 times per year. The first floor of Soul Yoga School is the yoga studio, while the second floor is a private living area. During Soul Kids Camp, the kitchen and living room on the second floor will be open to camp participants.

Every day, Soul Kids Camp students will start with a nature walk around the property. Once morning adult yoga classes finish around 9am and all of the children have had their healthy snacks, camp will begin on the first floor.

Not only is Soul Yoga School situated between rice fields, but no cars are allowed nearby due to the narrow roads. As a result, the neighborhood has a very peaceful and calm atmosphere. It’s the kind of neighborhood where there are people jogging or walking their dogs every morning and evening.

Meet our team

Soul Yoga School Founder, RecoverRing Master: Bali, Indonesia

Choi Song Hyun (Sera)

Hello! I’m a mom of an eleven-year-old daughter.

After moving to Bali, I opened a yoga school and began envisioning an English camp for my daughter and her friends. Thus, the idea for this kids camp arose from my experience as a mother.

Having collaborated with a popular Korean yoga magazine, Yoga Journal, to organize yoga travel packages to Bali, I decided to merge my travel planning skills with creating an English kids camp tailored to children like my daughter.

Excited to offer this unique Bali experience to your children, they’ll have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture while learning English in one of the world’s most beautiful locations! Together with Eunice, a Soul Yoga School graduate, and her husband, Caleb, we’re bringing Soul Kids Camp to life!

Recognizing that children thrive in positive and enjoyable environments, my goal for Soul Kids Camp attendees is for them to feel at ease learning in a new setting, fostering not only English language skills but also self-discovery. At Soul Yoga School, we’re dedicated to prioritizing our students' happiness and growth!
Soul Kids Camp Teacher: Jeju, South Korea

Eunice Kwon

Eunice Kwon, a second-generation Korean-American born in Alabama, raised in Illinois and California, holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University, Fresno.

She has diverse professional experience in merchandising, marketing, non-profit, and social work. Her primary occupation, however, has been teaching English since her exchange student days at Korea University in 2006−2007. She continued teaching in Hwawon, Daegu, through the Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) program in 2009, sponsored by the Korean government. Eunice has taught both children and adults, recently leading a 6-week English winter camp in Jeju for 130 kids, applying her teaching philosophy centered on empathy, encouragement, and empowerment. She advocates for creating a supportive environment for non-native English speakers to build confidence.

Additionally, she completed yoga teacher training with Soul Yoga in Bali in July 2023 and practices Ashtanga and Hatha yoga daily on Jeju, where she resides with her husband since December 2022.
Soul Kids Camp Teacher: Jeju, South Korea

Caleb Skytte

Caleb, born in Taebaek, Gangwon Province to a Korean mother and American father, grew up bilingual in Korean and English.

After moving to Washington State at 9, he graduated from Whitworth University in 2010. He worked at Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) from 2010 to 2023, aiding North Korean refugees and serving as an IT Manager in California and Seoul.

Passionate about student interests, Caleb aims for enjoyable learning experiences. He brings warmth from his work with LiNK to Soul Kids Camp, where he’ll engage children in topics they love.

Outside work, he enjoys hiking, photography, yoga, and meditation. Now residing in Jeju with his wife, he teaches elementary Orienteering part-time, eager to make lasting memories at Soul Kids Camp.
As adults in a swiftly-changing world, we cannot predict what the world will look like in 20 or 30 years. However, we understand that the world is becoming more global and we must prepare our children to not only be good at English, but become global citizens who can be comfortable and capable wherever they go.

Our camp wants to prepare kids for the world of the future! Our students will participate in different activities in new environments and meet with a variety of foreign teachers, learning how to navigate a global environment while being fully immersed in an English speaking environment. "Learning as play" is our primary value and we’re excited to offer students a place where their creativity and personalities can thrive.
